Your voice is your identity — an expression of your inner humanity that is deeply personal and entirely your own.
I believe music is for everyone. We all have a voice, and we all should sing. Singing is one of the most personal means of expression we have: a connection of body and spirit, and a way of sharing who we are with the people around us. My teaching begins from honoring that voice, whoever you are and wherever you are starting from.
Together we will create a lesson plan that supports your individual goals and needs, whether you are an experienced singer or new to vocal study. My goal is to help you discover your instrument’s potential, and to use it in the most healthy and effective way to express the music you want to sing.
My background is as a classical singer, but I have worked with many musical theater singers and am comfortable in popular musical genres as well. I have taught singers of all ages and experience levels.
My students have won awards at NATS competitions, been accepted at major universities, and gone on to careers in music.

Getting Started
The best way to begin is simply to meet. A consultation is a relaxed conversation about your goals, your experience, and the music you love, so we can decide together how lessons can best support you.

Lessons missed due to illness, schedule conflicts, or other reasons are not refunded. If several lessons must be missed because of extended illness, involvement in a stage production, or exceptional circumstances, a make-up lesson may be offered at my discretion.
Because the voice reflects our physical state, it is particularly vulnerable to colds and the flu. Singing through a severe cold can not only limit vocal production but also cause damage if the singer tries to force or push the voice. Please listen to your body! If you have a severe sore throat, a very bad cough, or laryngitis, please cancel your lesson. If it is only a slight cold, we can often work around it, focusing instead on music reading skills, memorization, and diction.
Singers of all ages and experience levels are welcome.
